SIA “Kurzemes granulas” produces and sells Premium and Industrial wood chip pellets.

Premium pellets

For the production of premium pellets, only coniferous sawdust and shavings (without bark) are used, which provide the pellets with a light color and low ash content within 0.3÷0.4% (the standard specifies ≤0.7%). Premium pellets fully comply with the requirements of the common European EN plus ®A1 and German DIN plus standards , which is confirmed by the EN plus ® and DIN plus certificates awarded to the company, as well as the results of pellet quality tests issued by internationally recognized companies (BEA, SGS, etc.). These pellets are offered to customers packaged in 15 kg polyethylene bags on pallets (65 bags per pallet) or 1000 kg Big-bag bags.

Industrial pellets

For the production of industrial pellets, coniferous (pine, spruce) sawdust, as well as wood chips and recycled firewood (partly deciduous) are also used. Industrial pellets are of high quality, meeting all the requirements of the EN plus ®A2 standard , including ash content usually within 0.7÷1.1% (the standard specifies ≤1.2%) - see test results . Industrial pellets are offered to customers in bulk form, as well as packaged in 1000 kg Big-bags.
