Heating: Wood pellets

Wood pellets are made from compressed wood, often sawdust or other wood waste, that has been pressed into a uniform, high-density pellet. The production process begins with wood preparation, where the wood waste or sawdust goes through the stages of debarking, drying, and crushing.

Wood preparation

First, the wood waste or sawdust is sorted and cleaned. It then goes through a drying process to reduce the moisture level and ensure the quality of the pellets.

Crushing

Dried wood waste or sawdust is crushed into a fine powder or small pieces. This step helps to increase the surface area of the wood waste, which makes pellet production more efficient.

Compressing crushed material

The crushed wood material is pressed under high pressure in special pellet presses. The result of the pressing process is small, dense and uniform-sized pellets.

Cooling and packaging

The freshly produced wood pellets are sent to a cooling system to prevent overheating. The pellets are then packed into different packages, such as bags or larger containers, according to customer needs.
